And more to the point, hand over the keys!

Actually, I think this one deserves its own headline.
Oh, wait, there's REAL news on the Ticker. Here, let's post it:

Well, okay, perhaps not prayers per se, but come on, this is the last current confirmed new piece of code entering the game before that long... whatever gets released. So, there you go. What time? Some time. What day? Wednesday. Which Wednesday? Only Sessions knows for sure.
The 141 Mice Dash
On March 10, 2010, Stéphane Brenier announced one of the most demanding contests I can recollect. The challenge? Why, simply to catch all the mice in the game... Again! Well, almost - it only counted the normal breeds, and (thankfully) the most recent crop of mice, including the old Sensei, Silth, and Blithely Burrowing Bicuspids mouse (and their compadres) were exempt from this requirement. Thus the count of 141 mice. How fast could it be managed? Thirty competitors set out to find out just that.
...And guess what? They've already started crossing the finish line! As of the time of writing, two of the competitors have already completed their mousey tallies. That's enough to make a journeyman go slack-jawed. Heck, that's enough to make many Lords and Ladies go slack-jawed.
Here's the contest thread so you can see how it is going...
And we've got another treat...
Interview with 141 Mice Dash champion, Cassie Zarnoch
1) So, roughly how long did it take for you to catch all 141 mice all over again?
The competition started March 10 and ended March 30 for me... So almost 3 weeks.2) It looked like there was lots of competition... Did you have any concerns that luck wouldn't go your way?
Towards the beginning of the competition I had a lot of luck getting a couple of the tougher and rarer mice and after probably... 5 or 6 days I was closer near the top of the scoreboard for number of mice caught. Towards the end I was struggling with my final mice (Frozen, Frosty, and Shelder), and other people caught up to me quickly. I had a feeling that was going to happen though, just by looking at what everyone had left to catch. So I guess I had concerns, but it wasn't really about coming in first at this point, I just wanted to complete the task of getting the 141 mice again!3) Did you have any specific hunting strategy?
In the beginning I thought my strategy would be to start in the Tribal Isles and work my way down to lower level areas. But after some bad luck streaks in Elub and Nerg, I stayed away from there for awhile. Then I tried to hunt in areas that had mice that could only be caught there, and after awhile I did a lot more moving around collecting the mice I had missed in each area. I guess that's not much of a strategy. This competition was just a lot of luck though, not all that much strategy was needed!4) Which hunting location was the most annoying?
The most annoying location for me was definitely the mountains. When this started I had no idea Frosty Snow and Frozen mice were going to be so hard to come by. I spent probably a total of 4-5 days trying to get them.5) Were there any mice that surprised you with just how quickly you got them, or how long they took?
I was most surprised when I moved back to the ship and got Shelder on my 5th horn (he was my final mouse.. I had spent a few days previously trying to catch him too, but still). I got lucky a few times when I was going around collecting mice I had missed in certain areas (assassin and foxy came in only a couple of horns for me).6) Do you think that something like this would be a fun exercise for all MouseHunters?
Doing this competition really did make the game a little more exciting for me. I had already caught all of the mice and doing this gave me something to do and something to work for again in the game. It was really a lot of fun. I know the new stuff came out right after this started, but by then I was too hooked on getting my 141. But yeah, if you've caught all the mice already and don't have much to do, it's definitely a fun exercise.7) Finally, do you have any other words of wisdom to pass on to MouseHunters everywhere?
Hmm.. I don't really have any words of wisdom to pass on but..Messin' with the Market
I would like to add a huge thanks to Stéphane for starting this competition, as well as all of the other judges for the time they put in checking the thread constantly to keep everyone's catch tally up to date, and holding those mini-competitions too! It really was a lot of fun, and I think most everyone else who did this with me can agree :)
It's not a recent phenomenon, but it did happen tonight with some success - naturally, depending on who you ask. Dozens of posts popped up on the Super|BRIE+ trading boards earlier tonight, advertising SB+ for sale, typically in very small amounts, for 1000 gold per piece or less. Near as this editor's (admittedly untrained) eye can see, it started with a thread posted by a Hunter named Grayson. It got those boards hopping, with the average price of selling threads dropping more than 500 per piece. Gleeful hunters converged on this thread in the tavern to report on it all.
We'll stay well clear of the volatile SB+ market most of the time... But these sorts of things do interest some people.
Quote of the Day
"Is that the best you can do? I've seen faster tacky glue traps than that!"

Your Name: Ker Kian Wei
Your Rank: Grandmaster (76%)
1) If you weren't a MouseHunter, what sort of job would you have in Gnawnia?
I'd want to be a staff on Ronza ship ... I will love the adventures and the freaked-out faces of Mousehunters when they see the price of the traps!
2) Name your favorite cheesy thing to eat.
Melted Cheese on Baked Rice ... Mmm, Baked Rice ---
3) What sort of mouse would you introduce to the game that hasn't already been introduced, and why?
Steam-Roller Mouse ... I'm a Fan of Kagamine Len and his character item is a Steam Roller.
4) Your favorite/least favorite section of the forum?
My least favorite section would be the Cheese and Whine as its mostly all Whine. Can it be Cheese and Champagne?
5) Who/what introduced you to MouseHunt? Have you said 'thanks?
Hmm...nobody introduced me in MH. I found it through a Post-to-wall.
6) What question would you like to see in Season FOUR of MotD??
I dunno ... I'll leave that to the rest of the MH Community or a Philosopher
7) If you had a home in the Kingdom, where would it be?
I'm not that sure... maybe near the Burroughs Region and try to get special abilities through Radiation and Mutation. Who wants some melted Radioactive Blue on rice.
8) Salt or Pepper?
Pepper...can't do without it! And salt is slightly more Unhealthy
9) Favorite Board Game of ALL time?
I would say "Taboo"
10) How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
I don't know how much an Woodchuck can chuck wood but I would like to see one chucking wood and I'd chuckle at the sight of it.
